PepperTap

PepperTap was a pioneer in hyperlocal quick-commerce grocery space. Launched in December 2014, PepperTap quickly became one of the top three online grocery startups in India - competing with BigBasket and Grofers (now Blinkit). At its peak in late 2015, PepperTap served over a million consumers across 20 cities, delivering around 40,000 orders per day. However, the poor business economics pushed the business deep into losses. This resulted in the business being shut down in mid 2016.
