Persia Oil and Gas Industry Development Company (POGIDC) was established in 2005 and was ceded to the Headquarters for Enforcing Imam’s Directive in 2011. Affiliated with the Tadbir Energy Group, it began its new mission to engage in upstream and downstream oil and gas activities, such as exploration, drilling, gas storage, development of oil and gas fields, and the construction and operation of specialized oil and gas industry facilities, focusing on Exploration & Production (E&P). In 2016, POGIDC made its way into the list of exploration and production companies for the first time. Additionally, in 2022, it received first-class certification from the IRI Ministry of Petroleum. This recognition enabled Persia (POGIDC) to implement upstream projects in the oil and gas industry valued at up to $12 billion. In the development of the North Yaran Field, which is the first completed domestic buy-back contract for the operation of the Yaran Field, the company has successfully produced approximately 57 million barrels of oil from this jointly-owned field.
