PES College of Engineering, Mandya

P.E.S. College of Engineering, Mandya, is one of the pioneer autonomous engineering colleges in India. The institute is ranked 151-200 rank band in the All-India NIRF 2021 ranking conducted by Ministry of Education, Govt of India. Presently it is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University and is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. Previously, it was affiliated with the University of Mysore. It is an institution functioning under the grant-in-aid scheme of the Government of Karnataka. The College was established in 1962 by the People's Education Society, currently known as the People's Education Trust (R), with the help of philanthropic farmers in Mandya District. The sole objective of the college was to promote technical education among students in rural areas. The society was founded by the late Sri K.V. Shankaragowda, former Education Minister of the Government of Karnataka.
