Pharmac - Te Pātaka Whaioranga is the New Zealand government agency that decides which pharmaceuticals to publicly fund in New Zealand. Pharmac's objective, set by legislation, is "to secure for eligible people in need of pharmaceuticals, the best health outcomes that are reasonably achievable from pharmaceutical treatment and from within the amount of funding provided".
