Since 1951, Pitlochry Festival Theatre has been the artistic heart and soul of Highland Perthshire. Attracting over 100,000 visitors every year, we’re more than simply a place to come and see a show – we’re Scotland’s leading producer of musical theatre, a champion of ensemble practice and the country’s only rurally-located, major arts organisation. Our vision is to improve lives by sharing Pitlochry with the world and the world with Pitlochry, and our aim is to create life-enhancing experiences in our Theatre and environment. Our home is a glorious eleven-acre campus, where our Amphitheatre, Pavilion and Pagoda – nestled within the magical Explorers Garden – provide imaginative outdoor spaces for performance and engagement. Within our newly re-imagined main building, the Auditorium, Studio Theatre, Café, Restaurant and Bar, welcome visitors to fully accessible, state-of-the art surroundings with breathtaking views over the River Tummel. At Pitlochry Festival Theatre, we work hard to be a ‘Theatre for a Lifetime’ and a ‘Theatre for All’, and that means engaging and inspiring as many people as possible, at every stage of their lives, throughout their lives. From family-friendly shows and activity programmes for young people to curating memories with older people; from professional development, inspiration and support for artists and creatives to engagement with hard-to-reach communities; and from commissioning and supporting new works to staging timeless classis, we want to bring joy and sustenance to existing, new and diverse audiences. In everything we do we are committed to nurturing an exciting creative and cultural future for Scotland.
