Politix is a group of Engineers, Political Scientists, Designers and Activists from San Francisco, Brussels and Berlin. Lack of this exact interaction in the digital age appears outdated and unnecessary. This is why we developed Politix. This platform closes the feedback loop between politicians and citizens. We uncover the social graph of politics. On Politix we make citizens aware of EU policies shaping our everyday lives - in plain and simple language. Politix shows you what an overall abstract European law means for your life and gives you the chance to vote on this specific law. Politicians can in turn check their voters’ sentiment and back their representative vote based on people’s opinion. We want to give citizens the real chance to form a position and empower them to raise their voice on legislative proposals. We follow an agile software development methodology. The system is changed dynamically in an agile way, based on how features and user interface get adopted by the users. Requirements, constraints and features get constantly reevaluated based on the platforms performance and success. We constantly try out new ideas and concepts for an optimal solution for fixing political communication. The project is part of Advocate Europe, the European idea challenge by MitOst in cooperation with Liquid Democracy, funded by Stiftung Mercator.
