The PMSA – Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association – owns four outstanding Queensland schools: Brisbane Boys'​ College, Clayfield College, Somerville House and Sunshine Coast Grammar School as well as an outdoor education and experiential learning destination, Rising Peaks at Lake Moogerah. Established in 1918, the PMSA is a joint mission of the Uniting Church of Australia, Queensland Synod and the Presbyterian Church of Queensland. One hundred years on, the PMSA is a financially strong, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in setting the direction of these outstanding schools and is the connecting link between the schools and the two churches. The PMSA’s mission is to provide outstanding teaching and learning environments for our students and staff in schools built on Christian teachings. PMSA schools enable students to: - achieve personal excellence, - live a fulfilling and satisfying life, and - make a meaningful contribution to family and society. Today through our schools, the PMSA has enrolments of almost 5000 students and employs almost 1000 staff. The PMSA is a run by a Board of 13 board members - five are each appointed by the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches while three are appointed by the PMSA Board.
