PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk (“AMI”) (IDX: ADMR) was established in 2007 as PT Jasapower Indonesia. As a subsidiary of PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (“AlamTri”) (IDX: ADRO), a group of company focused on metallurgical coal mining, mineral processing, mining services, and renewable energy businesses. It envisions becoming a leading Indonesian mining and energy group. AMI is intended to be the center of AlamTri Group’s non-coal mineral assets, mineral processing businesses, and metallurgical coal businesses. Through its subsidiaries, AMI holds five Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) concession areas with large metallurgical coal resources and reserves in East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. Its metallurgical coal product is branded as "Enviromet", which has been warmly welcomed and known by most steel producers in the global market. In line with AlamTri Group’s transformation into a greener business, AMI has also ventured into mineral processing operations. Through its subsidiary, PT Kalimantan Aluminium Industry, AMI has begun constructing an aluminum smelter in the world's largest green industrial area in North Kalimantan. In its initial stage, this project is expected to produce aluminum ingot of around 500,000 tons per year, with plans to expand to 1.5 million tons per year at full capacity. This mineral processing segment align with AMI’s with AMI’s commitment to supporting and capitalizing on Indonesia’s rapidly growing green economy developed by the government.
