PT. Pertani (Persero) is a State Owned Enterprise which is established in 1959 as pioneer company with a focus on agriculture sector. From time to time, the company has played an important role as the front-liner to support Indonesian's Government programs in this sector. Through these roles, the company has grown and developed into a leading agricultural business company, especially in producing, providing and marketing the agricultural inputs and commodities. Nowadays, food sovereignty has been evolved as a global issue and became a priority of Government development programs. Indonesia has been consistently increased the potential of the agricultural sector as one of National Economics Pillars as well as National Food Sovereignty. According to strategic direction of shareholder, the company has been positioned as a State Owned Enterprise with a focus on paddy grains business to support National Food Sovereignty. The focus of these efforts has led the company to re-position the business to strengthen its performance by build a core competence as the one of the Leading Agricultural Business in Indonesia.
