At Punya, we believe in the idea of sustainable and ethical shopping. Punya aims to push the envelope in the 'shopping for good' space, by giving an online platform to Indian NGOs that make amazing products. Punya also has its own brand of rice, 'Pushti', which is a variety of rice that only grows in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, called kalanamak rice. We train all ur rice farmers to grow mushrooms on their paddy straw, hence curbing the 'burning' issue of stubble burning and cleaning up India's air.
