Riva Group contributes to the dynamics of a healthy economy based on the principles of environmental sustainability and respect for mankind. The main goal is to improve the quality of life of stakeholders through direct contribution to economic, social and environmental dynamics. Founded in 1954 by Emilio Riva, a pioneer in postwar Italian steel sector, the Group has specialized in the manufacturing of “long” products using electric arc steelworks, and in more than 60 years of business it has achieved an international leadership, expanding in the main European countries, thanks to high production standards, steady strategy of growth and investments. The production activity is based on circular and non-extractive economy that promotes recycling of end-of-life steel. Chaired by Claudio Riva since May 2014, the Group is privately owned and boasts over 5.500 employees, with an increasingly qualified presence of high school and university graduates. Italy, with its Headquarter, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Canada are the countries in which Riva Group contributes to the local and international economy. The Riva Group maintains an important market share in “long” products - over 10% in the European Union area - which confirms its leadership position in this important market segment. The Group implements yearly a significant investment program aimed at innovating the steel recycling process, improving the qualitative aspects of products and processes, the safety conditions of the employees in the plants and the environmental compatibility of production. The Group supplies various product sectors, some of which - such as mechanics, automotive and earthmoving - require particularly high-quality standards. The production includes, among other items, drawn, peeled and grinding products deriving from the further cold processing of the rolled products.
