The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners

185 employees

The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is where New Zealand’s specialist GPs and rural hospital doctors receive their training. We establish the standards for safe and equitable practices and proudly represent our 6,000 members. The College's overall goal to improve the health of New Zealanders through high quality general practice care. We do this by providing training, ongoing education, research, advocacy and support for general practitioners and and rural hospital generalists. We also set standards (CORNERSTONE accreditation) for general practices across the country. The College has a commitment to embed the three principles (participation, partnership and protection) of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) across its work, and to achieving health equity in New Zealand.
