Established in Trinidad & Tobago in 1970, Servol is a human development agency delivering care, education, training and support via a network of programs in centres located in marginalized communities. The organization’s vision is for a fair, inclusive and sustainable Trinidad & Tobago where all individuals can participate in and benefit from social and economic life. As such, we work to engage and empower youth, increase the skill level and income of young adults, and provide child care and parental support. A HISTORY OF PIONEERING SOCIAL INNOVATION Servol is proud to have pioneered programs in such fields as early childhood care & education, teacher training and its outreach program for parents. Most notably, however, the jewel in our crown of accomplishments is our "Life Skills" model called the Adolescent Development Program which has been adopted worldwide. With a vision to introduce a component aimed at self-actualization as step one of an overall skills training program, our founder, Fr. Gerry Pantin designed and implemented the ADP in Servol in 1982. In the years that followed, requests were made for the adoption of the entire ADP model by institutions in Australia, Israel and Kenya. Subsequently, additional requests were made by Caribbean agencies to train their entire staff for centres in Grenada, Antigua, Guyana and St. Lucia. In the ensuing decade, we have trained managers and supervisors to develop Life Skills centres in Dominica, Haiti, Bahamas, Jamaica, Ireland, Vietnam, South Africa, India and Nigeria.
