Société des Mines d'Ity

Following the discovery of the Flotouo gold deposit close to the village of Ity, in the western part of Ivory Coast, close to Zouan Hounien, SMI has started a gold mine operation in 1991. It was the first in Ivory Coast. It has been opearting ever since. Shareholders are LaMancha Ca, SODEMI CI and the Ivoirian State.
