St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace (Terrace), is a Catholic day school for young men. Established in 1875 by the Christian Brothers, the College proudly celebrates a 150-year tradition of excellence as one of Queensland’s nine Great Public Schools (GPS). Situated in Brisbane’s inner-city suburb of Spring Hill, Terrace is a community that embraces the values of the Edmund Rice tradition. Guided by the Touchstones of Inclusive Community, Justice and Solidarity, Liberating Education, and Gospel Spirituality, Terrace is committed to inspiring young men in their lifelong pursuit of knowledge, humility and wisdom. The College motto, Servire Deo Sapere—”To Serve God is to be Wise”—reflects the mission to form and educate young men who will make a difference through service of God, the community and each other. With more than 300 staff currently employed at the College, Terrace recruits outstanding teaching, professional and operational staff who support young men to become the very best they can be. The College fosters an energetic workplace within a dynamic school environment where professionalism, a strong work ethic and a commitment to the Terrace Family are paramount. For over 150 years, Terrace has upheld its commitment to shaping Gentlemen of Terrace—men of faith and purpose, ready to lead and inspire.
