Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS) is fully owned by the Government of Malaysia through the Ministry of National Unity, Malaysia. YSS was launched in 2012 through the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), formally known as the Ministry of Education, and transferred its functions to the Ministry of National Unity on December 3, 2022.
