About TALIRI The Tanzania Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI) is an institute responsible for the development and dissemination of appropriate technologies for the improvement of the livestock industry in Tanzania. It comprises of seven livestock research centres namely;- Mabuki (Mwanza region), Mpwapwa (Dodoma), Naliendele (Mtwara region), Kongwa(Dodoma region), Tanga(Tanga region ) , Uyole (Mbeya region ) and West Kilimanjaro (Kilimanjaro region ). TALIRI headquarter offices are in Dodoma city. Vision Be an institution that contributes towards improved livelihoods of livestock stakeholders through appropriate technologies. Mission Develop, disseminate and promote appropriate livestock technologies that will improve productivity of the livestock industry while utilizing natural resources in a sustainable manner.
