Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, established in 1959, is one of the premier institutions established by the Government of India. The aim of the Institute is to nurture young minds and drive forward leadership in technological innovation. Techkriti is the annual international Technical & Entrepreneurship festival of IIT Kanpur organised by the students of IIT Kanpur to realise this aim. Since its founding in 1995, Techkriti has developed into one of Asia's biggest technology festivals. Annually, the event spans four days in March and draws attendees from all across India and overseas, with over 40,000 people attending from both countries. Apart from fierce and neck to neck competitions in various fields, such as Robotics, Electronics, Business, Design, Coding, Aero-modelling, Online events (Crypto, Stocksim etc.). We also have guest lectures and exhibitions to inspire the students to take that extra step towards innovation. Late Dr. A. P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former president of India and the man behind the country's missile program; Dr. Hamid Karzai, the former honourable president of Afghanistan; Vladimir Voevodsky, the Russian field medalist; Douglas Osheroff, the Nobel Laureate in Physics; Michael Foreman, the NASA astronaut; Marshall Strabala, the architect of Burj Khalifa; Prof. Henry Schaffer III, the winner of the Peter Debye Award in the United States;Walter Lewin, the astrophysicist at MIT; Rakesh Sharma, the Indian astronaut; Alvin E. Roth, the Nobel Laureate in Economics; and many more have graced the students and academic community in the past. With its 31st edition, Techkriti is poised to stimulate innovation and eradicate social problems through social campaigns in this century of technocrats and entrepreneurs.
