Official Page for Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment promotion- Oman-Muscat In 2020, Royal Decree No. 2020/97 was issued amending the name of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, defining its competencies and approving its organizational structure. This step was taken to achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, aimed at stimulating foreign investment, improving the business environment, and encouraging sustainable economic growth. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion is currently making clear efforts to attract foreign investments, enhance the role of the private sector, open Omani markets to the outside world, and modernize trade and industrial policies. This includes digitization and improving government services, developing laws to protect consumers, and promoting innovation in business. The Ministry is also implementing several initiatives to support startups and small businesses, strengthen international partnerships, and enhance e-commerce as part of Oman’s economic diversification plan.
