Tenke Fungurume Mining

Tenke Fungurume is located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 177 kilometers northwest of Lubumbashi in a concession area of approximately 1,600 square kilometers. Through the safe production of copper cathode and cobalt hydroxide, Tenke Fungurume provides metals vital to many industries including transportation, computers, construction, and emerging technologies. As of 2019, 98% of 3,400 full time workers and 94% of 5,300 contractors are citizens of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Tenke Fungurume Mining is owned by China Molybdenum Company Ltd.
