Welcome to TASO! Since 1987, TASO has been at the forefront of promoting quality health and social interventions, specializing in HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, and emerging public health threats. With a dedicated team of founders who started as a group of 16 friends and colleagues, TASO has grown into a leading organization committed to strengthening health and community systems, conducting impactful research, and fostering capacity development. Operating through our network of 11 Centers of Excellence and 4 projects strategically located nationwide, TASO has positively impacted over 2,000,000 lives in Uganda over the course of 37 years. As the second principal recipient of the Global Fund in Uganda, TASO effectively manages non-public funds through our proficient Grants Management Unit. TASO is renowned for our pioneering community interventions, which have paved the way for innovative service delivery models now embraced by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization in Uganda. Since our registration as an NGO in Uganda in 1991, TASO has expanded our reach globally, extending services to all continents through capacity building, knowledge sharing, and impactful partnerships.
