The Association for the Aged (TAFTA)

86 employees

The Association for the Aged, or TAFTA, is an elder care organisation that has been caring for the welfare of the aged in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province of South Africa since 1958. In its 60-year history, Tafta has cemented itself as a leader in providing safe, sheltered housing and community-based care for elders through independent living, assisted living and frail care facilities at our 13 retirement homes and wellness centres, clubs and support groups. Elders' quality of life is of paramount importance to Tafta, and we continue to aspire to a society where elders are treated with dignity and respect and have the opportunity to live fulfilled lives; this is why we work tirelessly to create an environment which caters to elders' specific needs of supportive services, security and a continuum of care. As a non-profit organisation, all Tafta services are provided either free or at a nominal charge, and we rely heavily on contributions from local businesses and individuals to continue the work we do to inspire a life worth living in those aged 60 and over!
