The Australian Academy of Science

The Australian Academy of Science is an independent organisation of distinguished Australian scientists, championing science for the benefit of all. In 2025, we’re tackling the big questions about artificial intelligence. We’re kicking off the first event by defining the scope: ‘What is AI?’ Our public speaker series, ‘AI in science: the promise, perils and path forward’, explores how AI is transforming health, climate science, agriculture, space and more while addressing ethical and societal challenges.
