Inspired by the French Conseil d'État, the Egyptian Council of State was established in 1946. The Council is composed of a Judicial Department (the Administrative Judiciary) and an Advisory Department. Since its establishment, the Council's courts and advisory bodies have served as a constitutional guard for the rights of both individuals and state entities. The Council is also playing a significant role of advocating and promoting administrative justice across the MENA region and the African continent. Show more Show less
