Transnet Academy has been repositioned to establish an internationally accredited, recognised institution of higher learning that promotes people development and research to allow access to current and future skills required to support the transport and logistics industry. The Transnet Academy has partnered with other like-minded institutions to provide world-class leadership, engineering, maintenance, operations, intermodalism and logistics skills development training in the engineering, rail, maritime, ports and pipeline sectors. The Transnet Academy comprises of four faculties and two enabling functions: Faculties • Faculty of Rail • Faculty of Engineering and Pipelines • Faculty of Port Terminals and Marine • Faculty of Leadership and Functional Development Enabling functions • Corporate Services • Learning Enablement and Compliance Strategic objectives • Sustain a portfolio of innovative faculties that contribute to the skills development agenda of the country and the African continent; • Attain a global corporate academy ranking and enhance graduate employability through developing portable skills; and • Generate diversified revenue streams through innovation, training and research.
