UBC Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Undergraduate Research Opportunities (URO) at UBC is dedicated to empowering undergraduate students with meaningful research experience. Through a range of programs, events, and services, we aim to expand student engagement and participation in research across the UBC community. Our 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝗫𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗥𝗘𝗫) guides students through developing their own research projects, culminating in presentations at BC’s largest undergraduate research conference—no prior experience required. In November, we host 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 (𝗟𝗦𝗥𝗡), an event for students to connect with leading researchers and engage in workshops designed to spark interest in life sciences research.
