UCL Department of Risk and Disaster Reduction (RDR)

52 employees

The UCL Department of Risk and Disaster Reduction (RDR) is one of the few academic departments in the UK specialising in disaster risk reduction. With an established portfolio of postgraduate degree programmes and a new undergraduate BSc in Global Humanitarian Studies, the RDR welcomes students from across the globe. In addition to teaching, our staff undertake a wide range of research, and the Institute hosts two research centres: the Centre for Digital Public Health in Emergencies and the Centre for Gender and Disaster. Our extensive free public events programme allows everyone to learn more about our work and help us grow the disaster and risk community and specialist networks.
