The UMD Fellows Program is an innovative year-long program designed to equip talented and diverse undergraduate students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to excel in professional internships and pursue careers of influence and impact. The UMD Fellows Program has three branches, Global, Federal, and Maryland (the Maryland branch debuts this fall 2023!). Global Fellows in Washington, D.C. targets the international sector, Federal Fellows highlights federal government and domestic policy, and Maryland Fellows focuses on state and local government. The program combines a fall seminar course taught by industry experts with competitive spring internships. We also supports students with professional development workshops, resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, and career-related events throughout the year. We currently offer twelve concentrations spread across the branches in fields ranging from public health to homeland security to international development. In addition, the program boasts multiple internship partnerships with public service organizations in both the Federal government and nonprofit sectors. For more information about our programs please go to www.federalfellows.umd.edu and www.globalfellowsdc.umd.edu and https://marylandfellows.umd.edu/, or contact our office at [email protected] and [email protected].
