The University of Ngaoundéré (UN) was established by Presidential Decree No. 93/028 on January 19, 1993. It emerged from the transformation of the Ngaoundéré University Center into a university by Decree No. 92/074 of April 13, 1992. Initially composed of two schools and four faculties, this institution now welcomes students from all regions of Cameroon and neighboring countries, including Chad, the Central African Republic, Gabon, and Congo, among others. The Dang university campus hosts an estimated student population of 30,000, supported by 365 academic staff (Assistants, Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, and Professors).
