University of Malakand

The University of Malakand (Urdu: یونیورسٹی آف ملاکنڈ‎; Pashto: ملاکنډ پوهنتون‎); abbreviated as UOM) is a Public Sector University located at the bank of the Swat River in Chakdara, Lower Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Founded in 2001, the university offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various academic disciplines. As of 2010, the university secured its place at the general category and ranked "seventh" by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
