As of this year, the University of Nottingham Pro Bono Society is the best society for Pro Bono in the UK, recieving this title at the LawSociety.Net Awards 2024. In 2022, we similarly won the Bright Networks Legal Leaders Award. This makes us one of the best societies in the UK to join! On campus we have been awarded Student Volunteer Group of the Year, the Best Green Group, and are frequent nominees/winners of Best Society. We were nominated by LawCareers.Net in 2018 and 2019 for Best Pro Bono Activities, making us one of the top three UK societies offering such opportunities. In 2019, we were nominated Best Student Experience, Best Fundraising Initiative, and Most Improved Society. In 2021, we were finalists for the Bright Network 2021 Community Outreach Award. In 2024, we were nominated for Best Society for Welfare. Our eight projects allow our students to perform pro bono work in schools, prisons, charities and more. Membership for students is only £2 for the year, available on our Students' Union page below, and grants students access to our dozens of events held throughout the year. Feel free to message us if you have any questions or want to get involved!
