The search for quality in its educational work is the fundamental task at UPChiapas, the strategies to achieve it will be expressed in the Institutional Development Plan (PDI) and its Comprehensive Institutional Strengthening Programs (PIFI). The need to achieve a higher quality of the processes and results of its educational programs is a policy that is specified through evaluation, as the first step for accreditation, which implies the search for quality and social recognition. In this way, accreditation, evaluation and quality are related to each other, it is accredited according to an evaluation and monitoring process, in order to have reliable and objective information on the relative quality of the institution and its university programs, whether that are in their initial recognition phase or in full institutional development. We understand evaluation and accreditation as means to promote the improvement of the institution and the dissemination of results such as accountability to the university community and society. In this sense, being accountable implies, not only demonstrating the proper use of public resources, but rather, the obligation to make public management transparent, exposing goals and programs, statistics and statements, procedures, expenses, to give certainty, prevent and remedy their abuses, make the exercise predictable and stay within the pre-established rules and procedures, complying with current legal provisions and an acceptable minimum of austerity and efficiency standards. With the participation of the university community, we will continue working to enhance Chiapas and contribute to national development. We are: the Polytechnic University of Chiapas, Technology for the common good.
