Virlanie Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, child-caring, Filipino organization that empowers, loves and protect the abandoned, abused, exploited, neglected, orphaned, and those among the poorest of the poor children. Mission Statement: We provide the most disadvantaged children with a caring family environment, opportunities for their healing and development through a multi-disciplinary approach, and collaboration with all stakeholders so they can reach their full potential and be mainstreamed into society. Vision Statement: By 2028, VFI is an innovative organization with highly competent staff and volunteers who provide services to children and families at risk with stable funding from donors, sponsors, and partners who preferentially engage with the Foundation because of the consistent results they produce. Virlanie's actions are divided into 3 core programs and 3 shared services of expertise. It starts with the Community program, where we work on preventing the occurrence of abuse and neglect among children through supporting family development. Second is Street, where we put our efforts into providing education services to children and families who need it the most. Third is Residential, where we protect, shelter and care for children through providing them a loving family atmosphere. Our 3 shared services, Health, Education, and Independent Living Service are focused on providing holistic support to all children cared for through the three core programs. Since its creation in 1992 by the French social worker Dominique Lemay, Virlanie helped more than 22,000 children in need of special protection through its innovative familial approach and its various programs and services.
