Yamazaki Mazak Corporation, found 1919, is the world's largest producer of computer-controlled metal cutting machine tools with annual sales of over 1.5 billion Euro. The company's headquarters are near Nagoya, Japan, and it has manufacturing operations in Japan, USA, Singapore, China and UK. It is privately owned by the Yamazaki family, from whose name the brand "Mazak " is derived. Customers include manufacturers of sub-sea equipment for the oil industry, makers of moulds for contact lenses, customers supplying to the aerospace, automotive and construction industries, and manufacturers of machinery of all kinds. Indeed it is said that Mazak supplies machines to make everything from jewellery to jet engines.
