The Young Sonographers are a section of the Swiss Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (SGUM) and are committed to the ultrasound training of students and junior doctors. Until recently, ultrasound training took place after graduation. However, there has been a notable shift towards incorporating ultrasound education within university settings. Ultrasound has gained significant importance in the field of clinical diagnostics, leading to a growing interest among students and doctors in enhancing their skills and knowledge through training and further education. Our primary objective is to provide nationally standardized and easily accessible ultrasound medicine training. The Young Sonographers are represented at all Swiss universities with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in human medicine.
